Kirkland, WA. - Allyis was named as one of the finalists for Washington's Best Workplaces by the Puget Sound Business Journal. The program, launched in 2007, identifies and recognizes best practices in the hiring and retention of great people. After an extensive and rigorous process, which included more than 300 nominees and the completion of surveys by nominee-company employees across the state, workplaces in four different categories have been identified as Washington's best, based on their various employee benefit offerings, leadership culture and work/life balance philosophies. In total, 65 companies made the grade as finalists. Winners will be announced at an event hosted by the Puget Sound Business Journal on August 13.
"From the beginning, we've centered our business on two core tenants, delivering great work and treating everyone we work with, employees, partners and clients alike, with dignity and respect," said Richard Law, CEO. "We believe that by honoring our employees' lives, in the context of their work, we can impact the health and happiness of our community as a whole and we're honored by the way our employees feel about Allyis."
Earlier this year, Allyis was voted the best company to work in Washington in the medium-sized business category by Washington CEO magazine and one of the 14 Hottest Companies by Seattle Metropolitan magazine. The company's leadership cites its talented and dedicated employees for the tremendous success it has seen, year over year, since its founding in 1996.
"Workforce development has never been more important - or more difficult - than it is in today's global economy," said Emory Thomas Jr., publisher of the Business Journal. "We believe the Business Journal has an important role to play in drawing attention to innovations and excellence in the management of our region's No. 1 resource: its people."
The finalists - 20 small companies, 20 medium-sized companies, 20 large companies, and five nonprofits - will be celebrated at an event at Safeco Field on Aug. 13. Honorees and the public alike are invited to attend and cheer for the workplace accomplishments of these companies from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The celebration will include ballpark food and drink, walking the bases, caricatures by award-winning Business Journal cartoonist Milt Priggee, speed pitching, and an awards presentation. The company with the greatest number of employees present will win a suite at a future Seattle Mariners game.
